Sanad

In September 2026, during our mission to Jordan in partnership with Gift of Life Amman and Riley Children’s Health, Sanad received life-saving treatment to mend his little heart at the Al Khalidi Hospital. 

Sanad was diagnosed with Coarctation of the Aorta (CoA), a condition where the main artery from the heart that supply’s the body with oxygen-rich blood is narrowed. This prevents other organs from receiving normal blood flow.

Thanks to the expertise and dedication of surgeon Dr Mark Turrentine and his team of medical volunteers from Riley Children’s Health, Sanad’s procedure was a success and he is now recovering well.

For Sanad and his family, this treatment means a second chance at life. Sanad’s treatment wouldn’t have been possible without the incredible support of our donors and supporters, who help children like Sanad access the specialist cardiac care they so desperately need.
