Akeem

Akeem is a brave 12-year-old boy, and a very talented footballer, supporting Manchester City. He hopes one day to play in the biggest stadiums in the world.

Akeem underwent an operation for a VSD repair after he collapsed whilst playing football. Akeem’s operation was succesful and soon after his operation, he took part in our Share Your Heart campaign by creating his own special heart.

Beverley Knight MBE who joined us for this special mission had the pleasure of meeting Akeem and told us: “It was a joy to meet him. I told him that I look forward to seeing him play when he’s older from my television screen, he’s a real star. His situation exemplifies why the work that Chain of Hope does is so important”
