At Chain of Hope, the Trustees have implemented a number of policies and procedures to ensure that the process of decision making and implementation is transparent and accountable. The charity has a number of boards and committees, to which the Trustees have delegated decision making and/or recommendations to be made by a group of experts in each area. For example, the selection of cases to be treated is delegated to the Medical Board. A minimum of three members of the Board need to be in agreement and give approval to each child referred to the charity.
