#TeamChainofHope 2023 Royal Parks Half Marathon Runners

This year, Chain of Hope is pleased to have 13 runners take part in the Royal Parks Half Marathon on Sunday 08 October, running and fundraising in aid of children with heart disease.

Meet our 13 runners and click their images to support them.

Amr

Amr is the relative of one of Chain of Hope’s Gala Ball Committee Vice-Chairs. He is based in Egypt where he works as a Managing Partner at a private equity firm and will be travelling to London to run in the Royal Parks with #TeamChainofHope.

Fahmy

Fahmy is a Consultant Otolaryngologist and loyal supporter of the charity. He is an experienced runner, having previously completed the London Marathon in 2012 to help fundraise for Chain of Hope.

Shannon

Shannon is a nurse and has completed a half marathon in the past. This year she has been training hard in hopes of achieving a finish time of two hours.

Haile, Rosie and Prithvi

Haile is a former patient of Chain of Hope who is now a Biomedical student at the University of Buckingham. He will be running the Half Marathon alongside his friends Rosie and Prithvi. This is not the first challenge they have tackled together, with the team of three taking on and conquering Europe’s Toughest Mudder obstacle and endurance course earlier this year.

Khori

Khori is the Director of BritJam Global, an AfroCaribbean music festival. Although the Royal Parks Half Marathon will be the biggest physical challenge he has undertaken thus far, he has previously participated in several fundraising challenges for charity including the O2 climb and park runs.

Ilaria and Madeline

Ilaria is the daughter of a long-term Chain of Hope supporter and is currently studying an MA in Art Business. She will be running and fundraising with her friend Madeline who works in Film & TV as a Production Coordinator. The Royal Parks will be the pair’s first time undertaking a physical challenge in support of a charitable cause.

Nora and Monica

Nora has recently joined Chain of Hope as an operations administrator, helping both our overseas missions and International Child Referral Programme with daily logistics and planning for our volunteers to treat more children. Monica is a registered Dentist and is Nora’s mother. This Mother and Daughter team are looking forward to crossing the finish line together.

Julian

Julian works as a Business Development Representative. He has previously undertaken a full marathon, and he hopes to complete this year’s Royal Parks in 1 hour and 45 minutes.

Ryan

Ryan is an Investment Analyst at Blue Whale Capital. This will be his first half marathon, although he has previously participated in a 12km run, which he completed in 50 minutes.

Kiarash

Kiarash is the Head of Financial Planning & Analysis at L&Q. He is a keen runner and cyclist, having participated in several fundraising challenges in support of various charities in the past, including an ultra-marathon.
