Over £30,000 raised for Chain of Hope by Royal Parks Half and London Marathon runners

It’s been a busy and exciting month for Chain of Hope, with the London Marathon and Royal Parks Half Marathon taking place a week apart!

London Marathon – 2nd October 2022

Our 10 amazing volunteer runners successfully completed the 26.2 mile route which took them from Greenwich to Buckingham Palace, and their incredible fundraising efforts raised over £17,000 for children in need of life-saving cardiac care.

We are so grateful to our running team for all their hard work and dedication.

Royal Parks Half Marathon 2022 – 9th October 2022

Our five incredible volunteer runners successfully ran the stunning 13.1 mile route which took them through four of London’s Royal Parks. As they passed the mile 6 marker towards our cheer point, they were greeted by the amazing sounds of Urban Fox Orchestra Steelband headed by long-term Chain of Hope supporters, Colin Salmon and Fiona Hawthorne.

Our runners raised over £14,000 which will help us treat more children suffering from heart disease.
