Adam is from Iraq and lives in Jordan with his parents as a refugee. He was diagnosed with a large Ventricular Septal Defect (VSD) and needed urgent operation to survive. He was operated on by Dr Mark Turrentine during a joint Chain of Hope and Gift of Life Amman (GOLA) mission in Jordan in March 2018. Adam recovered well and is now able to live a normal life with his family.
