Chain of Hope Gala Ball 2022 wins 'Special Event of the Year'

The Chain of Hope Gala Ball 2022 won the ‘Special Event of the Year’ award at the inaugural EMMAs awards on Thursday 9th March.

The EMMAs was created by the software and fundraising company EMMA, to celebrate the amazing, innovative events that charities produce each year.

The Chain of Hope Gala Ball emerged the winner from a field of 14 shortlisted charities.

The winners were announced by television presenter, Anthea Turner and selected by a panel of judges including TikTok and War Child leaders, who assessed the category based on their creativity, innovation, impact and overall success.

The Winning event was undoubtedly a more traditional event in many respects, but it stood out to the judges due to its staggering ROI and the fact that it had been such a success for over 20 years, raising over a million  annually and attended by an impressive line-up of music performers and celebrity talent over the years.’ Anthea Turner, quoting the Judges’ remarks on why Chain of Hope Gala Ball was selected as the winner.

Communications Manager, Oroyo Eubanks, accepted the award on behalf of the charity and acknowledged the hard work of our fantastic Gala Ball and corporate advisory committee for the work they do to make The Chain of Hope Gala Ball a success every year.

We are honoured that our Gala Ball was recognized among a group of such high calibre events, and we look forward to putting on another spectacular Gala this year on Friday 10th November to help raise essential funds to treat children with heart disease all over the world.
