Abdul is just one-year-old and was diagnosed with a number of heart complications at birth - a tight heart valve (pulmonary stenosis), and two small holes in his heart (ASD & PFO). He underwent a procedure called Balloon Pulmonary Valvuloplasty (BPV) to help his heart work better on our mission to Uganda in September 2025.

The procedure conducted by our medical chair, Cardiologist Professor Sir Shakeel Qureshi went well and Abdul was able to go home having fully recovered!

His smile really does light up the room and Abdul was seen joking around with our medical volunteers shortly after his succesful procedure.
