20th March 2019
Chain of Hope are happy to have four extraordinary volunteers running the Virgin Money London Marathon on Sunday 28th April.
Last year our runners raised over £12,000 while brazing the flat and fast London Marathon course in aid of Chain of Hope.
Our runners this year are aiming to bring more awareness and raise more funds for our work.
Meet our 4 runners:
Chris Cahill is the head of corporate Marketing at Canada Life in London. Chris has decided to run the marathon and raise funds because of the story of a mother who was helped by the charity. However, both his father and sister have experienced heart related illnesses. You can follow and support Chris’s London Marathon journey here
Nicki Saini is an event manager at Canada Life and has been an active volunteer with Chain of Hope for a few years. Nicki’s family has a history of heart illnesses and sadly her father died of heart attack. She ran the London Marathon in 2007 and is looking forward to increasing her impact running for Chain of Hope this year. Follow and support Nicki here
Alice Huber was introduced to Chain of Hope by a member of our Corporate Advisory Board. She works in project Management at 5 Hertford Street and has attended the Chain of Hope Gala Ball for a few years. Follow and support Alice’s London Marathon journey here
And .....Marco di Terlizzi, who is running the London Marathon for the second time for Chain of Hope. He is the director of one of our partner organisations in Europe – ABC – Associazione Bambini Cardiopatici nel Mondo. Chain of Hope has been working with ABC in Ethiopia, providing vital equipment and cardiac training missions. ABC helped to create the Saint Elizabetta Hospital Cardiac Unit in Shisong Kombo, Cameroon, from where Chain of Hope’s latest patient, Praise comes from.
If you can join us at our cheer point on the 28th April please contact Linda at linda@chainofhope.org or call 020 7351 1978.
