Chain of Hope conducts first Mission to Tanzania

In July Chain of Hope successfully conducted its first mission to Tanzania.

Over eight days a Chain of Hope volunteer medical team led by surgeon Carin Van Doorn  carried out nine (9) life-saving heart surgeries in the Jakaya Kikwete Cardiac Institute, in Dar Es Salaam.

The Chain of Hope mission team worked alongside the local cardiac surgeon, Dr Godwin Godfrey Sharau and cardiologist, Dr Majani Naizihijwa.

Our mission to Tanzania was made possible through an introduction by our friends, Save a Child’s Heart.

Chain of Hope are happy to help the hundreds of children in need of cardiac care in Tanzania.
