Host families
Are you flexible, caring and able to cope in a crisis?
Do you enjoy learning about other countries and cultures?
Chain of Hope urgently needs more host families to care for children from developing countries who come to the UK for surgery.
Each child needs a family to provide a supportive and caring environment for both them, and in most cases, a parent or guardian, druing their temporary stay in London.

Host Family Support Volunteers
We also need volunteers who can help our host families support the child and their care during their stay in the UK by, for example, helping with transport to and from the airport, and to hospital appointments, visiting in hospital, and providing help with day care.
Interpreters
Do you speak any of the following languages: Arabic, Luganda, Swahili, Woloof, French, Amharic, Kurdish, Tigirnha, Urdu, or Jola?
If so, your help could be invaluable as a translator to work alongside our host families in the UK.
If you live in, or within easy reach of London, and would like to get involved, please contact Sue Nott for further details on any of the above volunteer positions, by emailing sue@chainofhope.org or ring 020 7351 1978
Medical staff
Are you an ICU nurse, HDU nurse, theatre nurse, intensivist, anaesthetist, perfusionist, cardiologist or surgeon who could volunteer time to Chain of Hope?
If so and you would like to know more about how you could help us, please send your CV to Lucy Ossack. lucy@chainofhope.org
For all these roles Criminal Records Bureau checks and references will be taken up.
