Fundraising for Chain of Hope is one of the most effective things you can do and the money you raise, whatever the amount, will make a real difference to sick children.
Be sponsored to take part in an event
Five people ran marathons for Chain of Hope in 2009 – and the same again in 2010 – raising over £20,000 for Chain of Hope’s work.
Organise an event to raise money
You can make it as fun, creative or as challenging as you like. Charles Stuart-Menteth participated in the 10,000 mile Peking to Paris endurance rally and raised an amazing £15,000.
Wedding and birthday donations
Already have all the gifts you need? Why not ask friends and family to make a donation to Chain of Hope instead and we will send thank you letters to all your donors.
Community fundraising – schools
Pupils Why not nominate Chain of Hope as your school’s charity. You could organise an event such as a fun day, fancy dress day, raffle, concert, fun run, sponsored walk, cake stall, treasure hunt or bring & buy sale…
Teachers Interactive learning – Getting your pupils involved in fundraising is a great way to teach them about children from around the world. Teaching about the work of Chain of Hope can be done as a case study for geography or science classes, or used to teach about the history and culture of other countries.
Community fundraising – churches
There are many ways your church can get involved in our work, for example:
• Organise collections at Sunday services
• Hold fetes, car boot sales, coffee mornings, raffles, concerts, etc…
• Choose us as your Charity of the Year. Any groups are welcome to get involved – local societies, Scout, Brownie and Guide groups, youth clubs – we are happy to discuss what can be done with anybody!
Fundraising materials
Chain of Hope can provide the following materials to assist you:
• Collecting tins/buckets
• Sponsorship forms
• Information about the charity and our work
• Leaflets
We're always here to offer advice and support – please do not hesitate to contact us directly with any questions you may have about fundraising!
